The Unstoppable Church - Faith, Hope, and Love

Our faith is the evidence of that which is not seen. Without faith it is not possible for us to please God. We trust in His promises because He cannot fail, He cannot deny Himself, and He will not let us down. His Church will not only remain, but will also flourish because of Him alone.

For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith. Hebrews 4:2

By being faithful, the Church is; trusting in God alone, waiting on His promises, spreading love in all situations, and being obedient to His word no matter what. Our love is made known through obedience, and by being obedient to God’s word, we open ourselves up to His blessing.

And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. 2 John 1:6

Why remain faithful? Why trust in God’s word?

So far, God has kept 100% of His promises, He has loved us before we ever loved Him, and He will remain faithful even though we may not. He has been in total control since the beginning of time, and nothing we could do, will ever take away from His sovereignty. God can even take our bad decisions, and turn them into great situations, although we may still have to bear the consequences.

Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 2 Peter 1:4

The Church is unstoppable because God is working through it. If you are fighting against the Church, give up now, lest you be found fighting against God. Perhaps we could compare the Church to a tornado, or a hurricane, or even a meteor. It will not be stopped. It’s direction will not be altered. With faith, hope, and love, the Church is being led by Almighty God, and it’s not passing away.

Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth. Hosea 6:3

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” Matthew 24:35

The Church is constantly working through the power of God alone, and at the same time it is waiting to be re-united with Him for all of eternity. Jesus Christ is coming back for His Church, and we are to be ready, watching, and waiting. Worship Him, work for Him, and watch for Him. He’s coming back!

“Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:36
