Who is Jesus?

When Jesus Christ walked on Earth as a man, many things were subject to His control, such as; disease, weather, and even demons. Many people followed Him around because of what He could do. Although many people did not recongnize Him, the demons knew quite well who He was, and where He came from. Those who were possessed by demons fell down before Him saying, “You are the Son of God.”

Many people came to crowd around Jesus, and the teachers of the law tried to discredit Him by saying that because of His relationship to Satan He could cast out demons. Jesus answered them in parables, asking how Satan could stand if he was divided against himself. The accusations against Jesus made no sense, and He responded in truth, which only made those opposed to Him even angrier.

So many people want to avoid the truth. When the teachers of the law could not discredit Jesus, and could not get the last word in, they decided to plot His death. When people don’t want to accept truth, and cannot deny it, they result to irrational behavior. Something has to be done, but their hearts are hard to the Good News, so things spiral out of control, getting worse and worse.

Accepting truth is just something that must be done. We can’t make it, and we can’t change it. Cynics will always win the debate in their minds because once the mind is made up, whether something is true or not, there is no turning back. No one can change the heart but God. We can have an influence, we can share the truth, but God is the One with the final say.

The claims of Jesus Christ are serious, and they should be seriously considered.

Who is Jesus to you?

Not too many people would disagree with the fact that He was around about 2,000 years ago. That leaves only two sides to take: either you believe that Jesus was just some guy who said some crazy stuff, or you believe that He is the Son of God, and that truth comes from Him.

It’s something to consider…seriously.
