Just before the trade deadline today, there was a three-team trade between the Red Sox, Dodgers, and Pirates.

Manny Ramirez was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Jason Bay was traded to the Red Sox, and the Pirates received four players; Craig Hansen, Brandon Moss, Andy LaRoche, and Bryan Morris.

Morris will remain in Class A with Hickory, while the other three join the starting lineup for the Pirates, who will attempt to climb out of the cellar.

The Dodgers had been looking for a big bat, which they shall find in Ramirez, and are looking to overtake the division, as they are merely one game back of the Diamondbacks right now.

Maybe the Red Sox didn't deserve a player like Ramirez? At least that's what he told ESPN.

It's true, the relationship between Ramirez and the Red Sox had been growing cold, but it wasn't becuase of his bat.

Currently he is hitting .299 with 20 homers and 68 RBIs.

So, as they say, "Manny is just being Manny", and now he can be Manny on the other side of the country.

He is in the last year of his eight-year $160 million contract, and has been trying to get traded for a few years.

Now both the Red Sox and the Dodgers will look to take advantage of the deals they each made to overtake their separate divisions, while the Pirates cannot do much but improve on their position.
