The affiliate marketing niche is a very difficult one for most people. Some people don't want to try and sponsor others, some people don't want to learn how, and others just can't get their team to work. Before you give up hope, know that working from home is much more than just affiliate marketing.

Perhaps you have tried to build your business around the home based business, or work at home niche. To be dominant in that kind of niche, or be known for those keywords, you would have to spend years working at it. That niche is so crowded today, is seems like everyone is selling some kind of work at home opportunity. I am not saying that you can't get to the top in the work at home niche, but if you want your business to be successful, it may be a wise decision to choose another niche.

Too many people are not succeeding with an online business these days. Many people give many reasons for this, and I don't even need to get into them. The fact is, people are having a hard time building their businesses with affiliate marketing. Perhaps affiliate marketing is over crowded as well, I don't know. The point is, there are so many ways to earn income online, that affiliate marketing doesn't even need to be the foundation of your business.

I'll give you an example. I am a member of the Plug in Profit Site (PIPS). Now, PIPS is a very good program. PIPS taught me many things, in a very short amount of time, that I did not, and probably would never have known otherwise. I'm not successful because I make a huge income from PIPS (which I don't). I'm successful because PIPS gave me something to build off of, and that's what I did. I can be successful because of what I learned from PIPS. Would I recommend PIPS to others? Sure I would! But I would never guarantee that it would be a huge source of income for anyone. Does that make PIPS a bad program? No. PIPS promised to teach me proven methods of success, and it did just that.

Hope is not lost. If you are willing to learn, and willing to apply whatever you learn, you can earn an income online. Affiliate marketing is a big income earner for a lot of people, but if you don't feel comfortable with it, there is way more to earning an online income than selling other peoples products and services.

Are you good at writing? You could write articles for people who aren't good at it. You could write salescopy. You could create info. products for others, or for yourself, and sell them all over the internet. You could market just about anything with Squidoo, and other social media sites. You could build a list of subscribers, and sell them useful things with an autoresponder. You could even build a business around adsense, and make a nice income that way, just ask Ashley Qualls, who made so much from adsense she didn't even have to finish High School!

The point is that there are many ways to earn an income online. If you aren't very good at one thing, there's no reason to get in a panic. There's no reason to call yourself a failure and give up. You can find something that you can do, and do well, and even love doing it at the same time.

You make it work!
