Mixx has grown to be one of the largest and greatest social sites to date.  Since opening their doors about a year and a half ago, Mixx has aspired to become THE source for information online; breaking news, stories, photos and videos.  Just about everything that you can find online, Mixx wants to be your source for that information.  

To me, Mixx stands out above any other social site that I have been in, and I believe that they are achieving what they set out to do.  As you can see, Mixx has established a PR8 in less than a year and a half, and their Alexa ranking is outstanding.  

Mixx also wants us to know that we decide what is good and what is not.  We submit the stuff, we vote and comment on the stuff, and that's that.  No algorithms here, just a bunch of stuff being ranked by actual human beings.  Soon we should be able to find multitudes of information on almost any subject in the social sites like Mixx.  

Mixx is an extremely interactive website that offers several advantages to its users:

• Awards for Mixxing
• Super Mixxer status
• Informative blog
• Widgets
• Submission alerts/PM's
• unlimited friends
• unlimited keywords
• unlimited groups or communities

I guess we don't really need any awards for Mixxing, but it's also nice to be noticed sometimes; you know?  Remain active for about 30 days and you might see the Super Mixxer logo on your profile, which will give you some extra abilities around the site.  Add as many friends as you like to increase your traffic and credibility.  Create your own groups or communities; a great way to be interactive in certain niches and gain more backlinks for your various websites.  

Soon after Mixx opened for business, I was in, and it remains to be my favorite social site.  Perhaps I'd buy one of those Mixx mugs from the Mixx store if I could stand homemade coffee.  In any event, Mixx will be around for a long time, and will continue to dominate the social media world.
